My mom and brother supported my Spawn habit when I was younger. All the way up to issue #31, and then things went south, and I no longer had the support. My wife helped out, but I fell too far behind. I have some of the issues digitally, but it will be a big struggle to make up what is missing.
So, How’s Your 2020?
Yeah. No one saw this coming.
Except for the Barack Obama presidency. They called this over five years ago, and we didn’t listen.
Look where that got us.
So, what have I been up to? Obviously not this site. Shortly following my absence, things became rough. My child’s school stopped having classes and went to online courses.
That hit me hard. I remember reading the email from the school, and between reading that and hearing news about COVID-19, I started to cry. I felt helpless and depressed. Since February, my life had changed for the better. To suddenly go into a deep depression like that, I was not prepared to feel that way again.
I questioned myself and my family’s future. I pictured the apocalypse. I didn’t know what to do at that moment. I stayed busy with my job since we were considered an “essential business”. My wife wasn’t so lucky. She was out of work for a month. Now that she is back to work, even though there are different precautions to deal with, we are able to handle problems and the current life’s scenario with a much stronger and level head.
I realized that blogging is going the way of the dodo, but things such as photography still are popular. I am going to continue with this site, but will probably kill all my other blogs.
I have written a short story that I have had some authors that I follow read, and they feel that I have an original voice, and that I have the ability to make a career writing. That is going to be my main focus, but I still want to take pictures and entertain you with this camera that refuses to die.
So, I apologize for my absence, and if you are still following me, I will be posting again. In fact, there is a photo coming online today. I will try to be more regular about it, and maybe take it with me places so that it is not just things around the house that I am taking pictures of.
We’ll see on that, though. Anyway, thanks for sticking with me through this, and enjoy the pictures.
